Anglo American today rejected a third takeover offer from rival BHP Group, but the two companies agreed to extend the negotiation deadline by a week.

Stuart Chambers, chairman of Anglo American, said in a statementearncryptoonlinegames:"The board is willing to continue to engage with BHP Billiton and its advisers on this issue and therefore requested a one-week extension of the deadline, a request that has been agreed by the expert panel."

Anglo American confirmed that it had rejected BHP Billiton's third takeover offer. Based on its stock price at the close of April 23 (unaffected by the acquisition news), BHP Billiton is proposing an offer of approximately 29.9 per share.earncryptoonlinegames.34 pounds.

Before the negotiation period is extended, BHP Billiton's final bid deadline is 5 pm London time today in accordance with UK takeover regulations.
